Student & University Research Opportunities

Turn your studies into something with real-world impact

The 'Just One More' Project welcomes interest from university students who would like to use their studies, research or creative skills to contribute to a growing mental health initiative.

The Just One More Project uses endurance sport, honest storytelling and community partnerships to educate, inspire and encourage conversations around mental health.  As the project develops, it has the potential to support dissertations, research projects, placements, volunteering and practical university assignments across a range of subjects.

We are open to hearing from students who have their own ideas and can see a meaningful connection between their course and the work of the 'Just One More' Project.

What Else Could You Explore?

Research could examine subjects such as the relationship between endurance sport and mental wellbeing, the psychological effects of preparing for extreme challenges, motivation and resilience, public engagement with mental health campaigns, or the effectiveness of storytelling as a tool for education.

Students from creative, media or business courses may also be able to develop live projects around video production, communications, audience growth, sponsorship, branding or social impact.

Have your own idea?

We actively encourage students to bring forward their own research proposals or project ideas. If your course aligns with the aims of the Just One More Project, we'd be delighted to explore how we can work together.

Why Work With JOMP?

This is an opportunity to contribute to a live and developing project rather than working solely from a hypothetical case study. Depending on the nature of the project, students may have the opportunity to follow the preparation for major endurance events, help document the journey and produce work that has genuine value beyond the classroom.

All research involving individuals, health information or personal data must be properly supervised by the relevant university and meet its ethical and academic requirements.

Could This Become Your Next Project?

Whether you're choosing a dissertation topic, looking for a live client project, seeking practical experience or hoping to volunteer your skills, we'd love to hear your ideas.

Students, lecturers and university departments are invited to contact us to explore potential opportunities.
